Serving all of Hancock County
Hancock County HomeCare & Hospice’s tradition of serving the residents of our communities spans more than 75 years, beginning with the establishment of Four Town Nursing Service in 1931 and Bar Harbor Public Health Association in 1945. Over the years, our goal has always been to provide expert healthcare services to our patients in the comfort and privacy of their own homes.
Last year, Hancock County HomeCare & Hospice staff drove 362,245 miles and made 216 ferry trips to provide 16,266 visits to 992 patients and their families. Although home care services are paid for by public and private sources, or directly by patients and their families, tax-exempt donations help cover the cost of care provided to the uninsured or underinsured. A part of the Eastern Maine HomeCare Family, and a member of EMHS, Hancock County HomeCare & Hospice works to ensure the highest quality home care is available to those who need it.
